Meet the family

Our farm is more than just fields and fences

It’s HOME.

They say it takes a village to run a farm. We say it takes a family with grit, a good laugh, and a willingness to get muddy before breakfast. Welcome to Giddy Up Ranch — where the animals are spoiled, the people are busy, and the stories keep coming

Meet The Gang

spencer

Spencer is my 17-year-old Appaloosa, better known around here as Houdini. He’s mastered the fine art of escaping—from stalls, gates, and even situations I swore were escape-proof. Underneath the mischief, he’s a steady old soul who’s been with me through countless rides and seasons. He may keep me guessing, but I wouldn’t trade my spotted escape artist for anything.

bodhi

Bodhi is my 4-year-old pony, affectionately (and sometimes not-so-affectionately) nicknamed The Demon. He’s not truly bad—just a master of questionable life choices, like climbing where ponies shouldn’t and finding creative new ways to cause chaos. This year, he’s in training to turn that boundless energy into good manners… or at least into slightly less mischief.

finnigan

Finnigan, one half of the Hobbit Duo, is our self-appointed welcoming committee. If you arrive at the farm, he’ll be the first to greet you—sometimes before you’ve even closed your car door. Equal parts friendly and slightly neurotic, he takes his hosting duties very seriously, making sure no visitor goes unannounced

cassie

Cassie, the other half of the Hobbit Duo, is a true farm dog through and through. She’s tough, loyal, and always in the thick of things—but beware of picking up one of her toys. Do that, and you’ve just committed yourself to an hours-long game of fetch, powered by the unstoppable speed of her little legs

delilah

Delilah was the very first cow to call the farm home. She’s a bit on the antisocial side—unless you happen to be holding treats, in which case you’ll have her full attention. A creature of habit, Delilah thrives on routine and gets a little stressed when things change… which is why we try to keep her world as predictable as possible

phoebe

Phoebe is Delilah’s beautiful daughter, born right here on the farm. Like her mom, she’s a little on the antisocial side—but come evening, she’s all energy, racing around in joyful zoomies that turn the pasture into her personal racetrack

miss laverne and shirley piggy

Laverne and Shirley—Shirley being the black-and-white charmer and Miss Piggy the pretty-in-pink one—have quickly become the stars of the barn. Sweet, funny, and impossible not to love, they win hearts instantly… that is, if you can make it past Boaramir the boar to meet them.

fifi

Fifi is a paid employee of the farm, in charge of rodent control. She takes her job seriously—sometimes a little too seriously, occasionally forgetting that the chickens are allowed to be here. When she’s not on pest patrol, she enjoys keeping the U-pick visitors company, especially if it means spending time in her beloved garden

boaramir

Boaramir and I have a bit of a love-hate relationship. He’s unbelievably friendly and adores belly rubs, but his constant need for attention can get… well, a little overwhelming. Still, it’s hard to stay mad at that happy face for long

dolly

Dolly is one of the newest faces on the farm. She’s friendly and loves a good petting session, but she’s also shy and soft-spoken, preferring to hang back and quietly take it all in

meatloaf

Meatloaf came to the farm with Dolly, and he’s easily the cuddliest cow in the herd. He’s all affection now, but don’t let that fool you—this sweetheart is going to grow into one very big boy.

the chickens

We have too many chickens to list by name, but they’re divided into two very distinct squads. The Barn Chickens, also known as the Ninjas, are stealthy, quick, and somehow always exactly where you didn’t expect them to be. Then there are the House Chickens, also called the Raptors—bold, curious, and absolutely convinced they run the place
